Mid-century modern kitchen tables

My sister found the most amazing mid-century modern sideboard at Homegoods last week so she's been looking for a kitchen/dining table to go along with it. Here's a few tables that we found, but so far, nothing has been quite right.

Another option for small space dining that doesn't offer as much flexibility is a bar or bistro tables. The drawback is that the tables are usually sized for only two people to eat at the table.

Small Space Dining - Expandable Tables

I mentioned the small dining area predicament that my sister has in an earlier post. Here are a few possibilities for Expandable tables that may be a solution. Expandable tables are a great idea for people who like to entertain but don't have the space for a large table at all times.

Small Space dining - Folding tables

My sister has a small living space in her apartment that has to function as a living room, office and dining room. She only has a small amount of room that can be used a dining area, so I decided to see what I could find that would make best use of the space.

The first option would be folding tables. They allow minimal space taken up when not in use and can even be stored in a closet or different room.

Kitchen Tables

I was in the market for a new kitchen table a couple months ago. I was looking for something with a diameter less than 35" and a price tag of $200 or less.

Here are the tables that were contendors:

Ultimately, I decided to go a little over budget and got a table by Zuo. I pretty much love everything Zuo comes out with.

I was able to find the Zuo Lemon Drop table online for $250 at NikkoShops, plus they had a wintersale of 10% off of everything in addition to free shipping. So the grand total was $225, which although was a little over budget, was totally worth it for a table I loved and by a company I knew was good quality.
